UFIT staff will perform maintenance for Network Services (Multiple Locations) beginning on 3/19/2017 at 4:00 AM. The maintenance is expected to be completed by 3/19/2017 at 9:00 AM.

Port level configurations on switches in the older portion of the J Wayne Reitz Union network will be updated to current design standards. There will be a momentary interruption of service on each port as its configuration is updated. This maintenance will occur between 4:00 AM - 5:30 AM.

UPS self tests will be performed at Rolfs Hall first floor, Smathers Library 4th floor, and Florida Innovation Hub 2nd floor. This work should not be service affecting.

A UPS will be replaced in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. Switches powered by the affected UPS will be down for 20 minutes while this work is performed.

The above noted UPS maintenance will occur between 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM.

While outages are possible throughout the maintenance window, the vendor does not expect the service to be interrupted for the entire indicated time.The maintenance is expected to be completed by 3/18/17 at 4:00 AM.

UFIT staff will perform maintenance for UFIRST beginning on Friday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m. UFIRST is used as a online grant proposal and award tracking system. UFIRST will be unavailable for approximately one hour starting at 6:00 p.m. UFIRST is expected to be available starting at 7:00 p.m., but users may experience degraded performance during the balance of the maintenance window. The maintenance window is expected to be completed by 11:30 p.m.

RESOLVED: UFAD NMB and Directory Changes : Service Issue (Expired 3/17/2017 1:43pm)

The problem with UFAD NMB and Directory Changes has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.


NMB and Directory Changes to UFAD may experience slowness or intermittent availability. Other UFAD functionality is not impacted. UFIT is working to restore the service to normal as quickly as possible.

Updates will be posted to this alert as soon as additional information becomes available.

Drupal : Arbitrary Code Execution in Services Module (Expired 3/16/2017 10:58am)

UFIT staff will perform maintenance for Network Services (Multiple Locations) beginning on 3/12/17 at 6:00 AM. The maintenance is expected to be completed by 3/12/17 at 10:00 AM.

Network equipment in the fourth floor of the Ayers Medical Plaza North Tower will be restarted to address an error that occurred earlier in the week. Users on the fourth floor will see up to ten minutes of downtime as this work is performed.



Network cabling in a Telecommunications Room on the second floor of Bruton-Geer Hall will be replaced. Areas of the building fed from the affected Telecommunications Room will see four hours of downtime while this work is performed.



A UPS on the second floor of Stuzin Hall will be replaced. Hosts connected to switches powered by the affected UPS will see up to 30 minutes of downtime while this work is performed.



The UFNet2 PCI environment will be extended into the EVPN routers for all remote DMVPN sites. This work will not be service affecting.
