UFIT staff will perform maintenance for UFIRST beginning on Friday, April 21 at 6 PM. UFIRST is used as a online grant proposal and award tracking system. UFIRST will be unavailable for approximately one hour starting at 6:00 p.m. UFIRST is expected to be available starting at 7:00 p.m., but users may experience degraded performance during the balance of the maintenance window. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Friday, April 21 at 11:30 PM.

Gator Cloud : Service Provisioning Delay (Expired 4/20/2017 12:00pm)

The problem with Gator Cloud provisioning has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.


UFIT is implementing a resolution for the provisioning delays in the Gator Cloud infrastructure. The underlying issue was identified, and previous provisioning requests were successfully processed. This resolution will require addition provisioning delays to continue up until 4/21/2017. Thank you for your patience in this matter.



UFIT is continuing to investigate the Service Issue/Outage regarding Gator Cloud service provisioning, but as of 4/14/2017 4:41: PM, we do not have an ETA for provisioning restoration.


UFIT staff is aware of, and currently working on resolving a delay in the provisioning of Gator Cloud resources.

CSE core router : Service Outage (Expired 4/17/2017 1:13pm)

The CSE core router is once again unavailable. Network access from several campus buildings is interrupted. UFIT is working to resolve the outage and will fully investigate the issues that caused it after the service is restored.

UFIT has a case open with the Cisco Technical Assistance Center. The TAC engineer assigned to the case is working with UFIT to identify a probable failing hardware element. Once this element is isolated, a maintenance window will be announced to replace it.

UFIT understands that this outage is disrupting academic and administrative processes and appreciates the impact it is having on the university community. Our staff are working as quickly as possible to restore services.

A new AV VLAN will be deployed to Powell Hall. This work will not be service affecting.

UPS in EHS Admin Building 2nd floor and Newins Ziegler Hall 3rd floor will have their firmware upgraded. This will result in 2 10 minute outages as devices are moved off of the UPS and then back on after upgrade is complete.

The layer2 BPoP switch in the Biomedical Engineering area of the Nuclear Reactor Building will be converted to a layer 3 configuration. Hosts in the affected portion of the building will experience one hour of downtime as this work is performed.
