Phishing Scam (Important Document from HR) (Expired 5/22/2018 8:00am)

UFIT Security is aware of a phishing scam targeting UF employees which includes a link to a fake Outlook login web page. Please delete/ignore this phishing message and share this alert with those who need to be made aware.

Any users who respond to this phishing attack by entering their UF username and password on the fake login web form should contact the UF Help Desk immediately for a password change and follow their compromised account response procedures.

UF Active Directory: Service Issue (Expired 5/21/2018 5:00pm)

UFIT is continuing to investigate the UF Active Directory Lock Out issue, but as of Monday, May 21 at 08:50 AM, we do not have an ETA for service restoration.


UFIT is continuing to investigate the Lock Out issue regarding UF Active Directory


University community members accessing UF Active Directory may experience account lockouts. Currently twenty-one (21) users are experiencing such lockouts. UFIT is working to restore the service to normal as quickly as possible.

UFIT staff will perform maintenance for myIT and myRequest beginning on Friday, May 18 at 10:00 PM. myIT is used by UFIT to record and track service requests and incidents. myRequest is used by Shared Services for service requests. While outages are possible throughout the maintenance window, the myIT and myRequest vendor does not expect the service to be interrupted for the entire time. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Saturday, May 19 at 4:00 AM.

General Ledger (GL) and all subsystems (AP, EX, AM, BI, AR, PC) are closed for April 2018. The Monthly Financial Reports for April are expected to be available on Tuesday, May 8th. The myUFL Alerts page will be updated, and notification will also be sent to the listserv when they are available.

FISMA System Planned Outage
Maintenance Start - Thursday, May 17th 5pm
Maintenance End - Thursday, May 17th 10pm

UFIT staff will perform maintenance on FISMA Systems beginning on Thursday, May 17th 5pm. FISMA System Planned Outage is for Quarterly Citrix Patching/Enhancements (phase 1); Linux Patching (phase 1); and Disk Space addition to HOBI file server T001-FS01A. All ResShield/FISMA VDI's will be impacted.. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Thursday, May 17th 10pm.

IP Contact Center : Resolved (Expired 5/16/2018 10:59pm)

Update: The problem with IP Contact Center has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.


Previous Update: Several users of the IP Contact Center have been restored including the UF Help Desk and Shands Technical Support Center. UFIT is implementing a resolution for the remainder of the agents using the IP Contact Center and expects full service restoration to be completed by 9:00 PM.


Previous Message: IP Contact Center is currently unavailable. Agents currently can not log into the IP Contact Center. UC Engineers are working with Cisco TAC support to restore the application account used by the service. UFIT is working to resolve the outage and will fully investigate the issues that caused it after the service is restored.

UFIT understands that this outage is disrupting academic and administrative processes and appreciates the impact it is having on the university community. Our staff are working as quickly as possible to restore services.

As of 10:00AM this morning, Data sync to UFAD services were up to date. A recent batch of submissions may cause an addition delay in updates to UFAD accounts. We are still monitoring and will provide additional information as it becomes available


Due to a large volume of affiliation changes, there is currently a delay in updates to Directory changes to UFAD accounts, PeopleSoft RoleGroups, Network Managed By moves, and Affiliation AutoGroups.

Updates will be posted to this alert as soon as additional information becomes available.

Drupal - Vulnerability and compromise notice. (Expired 5/1/2018 8:00am)

Drupal is used as a content management system that drives digital web content.

Drupal 7 and 8 core critical release is scheduled for April 25th, PSA-2018-003.

Notice: Drupal sites are available, however, a number of the sites remain vulnerable.

ISO has seen several compromises of Drupal sites at UF due to the "Drupalgeddon2" vulnerability.

Drupal admins should update to the latest version ASAP to prevent further compromises.
