UFIT staff COMPLETED (6/20 @11AM) maintenance for GatorMail (Public Folders Only) beginning on Friday, June 18th at 5:00 PM.

As part of the final phase to migrate UF’s Exchange Email to Office 365 (O365), the GatorMail Public Folder infrastructure will be temporally unavailable.

During the maintenance activity, email sent to enabled Public Folders will be queued and will be delivered at the completion of the maintenance activity.

The maintenance window is expected to be completed by Monday, June 21st at 8:00 AM.

myIT and myRequest : Maintenance - on Friday, June 18, at 10:00 PM (Expired 6/19/2021 9:00am)

The vendor that supports myIT and myRequest will perform maintenance beginning on Friday, June 18, at 10:00 PM. myIT is used by UFIT to record and track service requests and incidents. myRequest is used by Shared Services for service requests.

While outages are possible throughout the maintenance window, the vendor that supports myIT / myRequest does not expect the service to be interrupted for the entire maintenance window.

The maintenance window is expected to be completed by Saturday, June 19, at 8:00 AM.

The General Ledger (GL) and all subsystems are closed for May 2021.

Monthly Financial Reports (MFRs) for May are expected to be available on Tuesday, June 8th. The myUFL Alerts page will be updated and notification will also be sent to this listserv when they are available.

Please note that the Monthly Financial Reports are now available under Enterprise Analytics:

myUFL: Main Menu > Enterprise Analytics > Department Reports or Fund Reports or Sponsored Program Reports or Residual/Overhead Reports.

Enterprise Analytics - Analysis Studio (FIT) Cubes are currently unavailable. UFIT is working to resolve the outage and will fully investigate the issues that caused it after the service is restored.

VPN Service (Upgrade) : Maintenance - on Tuesday, June 8th at 8:00 AM (Expired 6/15/2021 11:00am)

UFIT staff will perform maintenance for VPN Service (Upgrade) beginning on Tuesday, June 8th at 8:00 AM. Starting on Tuesday 6/8/2021, Gatorlink VPN users running clients with a version less than 4.9 will be upgraded to 4.9 automatically upon connecting to the VPN service. It is important that campus community members who use the VPN service know that after each VPN update a restart of their device is required. UFIT recommends that you update your client to 4.9 prior to this automatic process by visiting http://helpdesk.ufl.edu/vpn and downloading the appropriate client during a time which is convenient, then you will not experience any impact from the June 8th process. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Tuesday, June 15th at 10:00 AM.

Hyperion is the primary budgeting software utilized by the university budget office and college and departmental budget officers to establish and maintain the university's budgeting model.

NetApp MetroCluster 2 Storage System

The MetroCluster Storage System hosts the VM infrastructure, as well as, SQL databases and Enterprise File Shares. The maintenance activity on MetroCluster 2 is expected to be non-disruptive to clients. Potentially, some users might experience disconnected sessions (SMB Clients) which will require users to refresh their connections. The maintenance is expected to be completed by Sunday, June 6 at 11:00 AM.

Authentication to Mediasite : Resolved. (Expired 6/3/2021 5:00pm)

The problem with Mediasite has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.


UFIT is continuing to implement a resolution for the Service Issue regarding the authentication mechanism for Mediasite and expects full service restoration to be around 11:15 AM. Currently, the authentication mechanism is online but in a degraded state.


UFIT is implementing a resolution for the Service Issue/Outage regarding Mediasite and expects service restoration to be around 10:45 AM.


Authentication to Mediasite is currently unavailable. Mediasite is a video streaming service hosting lectures and other multimedia material. Content that requires authentication is unavailable and users cannot login to manage content.

UFIT is aware and working to resolve the outage and will fully investigate the issues that caused it after the service is restored.
